Like many 20-somethings, in 2018 I ended up in Australia and fell completely in love.
Living in Melbourne, I adored spending evenings like a local: soaking up the sun on St. Kilda, Brighton and Williamsburg beaches and exploring Melbourne’s food and drink spots – I still pine for the Victoria Night Market’s tasty treats!
At weekends, my fellow travellers and I ventured further afield – spotting wandering koalas and kangaroos while driving the Great Ocean Road, catching waves in Byron Bay and pouting with the Great Barrier Reef’s Humphead Wrasse fish.
It was in Sydney though where I fell head over heels, out of the blue … literally! The minute I saw the Blue Mountains standing majestically under their definitive blue haze, I was captivated, in awe of their seemingly never-ending verdant expanse.
My time in Australia was short, sweet and passionate. Like any great love, the memories will last a lifetime.
